This is the best way to see the island of Kos in just a day. The day will be spent seeing places of natural beauty and hearing about the local history and culture. We begin the tour from Hippocrates’ Plane tree, thought to be the oldest tree in Europe.

Our next stop will be at the Asklepieion of Kos, the most important of the ancient sites in Kos, which served as a sanctuary, where Hippocrates worked and taught. Here you can enjoy spectacular views of the distant Dodecanese islands and Turkey.

After the Asklepieion, the bus tour will continue on to the picturesque village of Zia, situated at the highest point of mount Dikeos. In Zia, we will have time for a short break to enjoy the views and have some coffee, before continuing to Antimachia, our next stop.

Here, in Antimachia, we will visit houses built in Kos traditional architectural style, as well as a windmill, which is still in use. The coach then drives through several villages, holiday resorts, quiet harbors, and scenic spots.  After a visit to the picturesque mountain village of Kefalos at the tip of the island, lunch (optional) is served in a tavern on the waterfront at the romantic bay of Kamari. Although in May the sea is a bit cold (max. sea temperature:19oC), there will be time to either swim at the beautiful beach or stroll around Kamari.

After lunch, we will continue to the seaside village of Kardamena stopping shortly for a coffee, and then we will return back to the hotels.
