You are first taken by bus to Mastichari, in order to take the ferry to Kalymnos. A gentle cruise of about one and a half hours brings you to the picturesque sponge island of Kalymnos, where the attractive main harbour of Porthia, with all the yachts, boats, and harbour-side bustle, is a sight not to be missed.

Kalymnos is famous for being one of the few regions in Greece, where sponge diving is still practiced. You will have the chance to visit a small, family-owned sponge workshop to see how the sponges are processed and a talk will be given about sponge–diving methods and history. 

After this, you will have lunch in a local taverna, (included in the price), before returning to the boat for a trip to the tiny nearby island of Pserimos, with its crystal clear sea and beautiful sandy beach. On Pserimos island you will have plenty of time to swim and sunbathe in a practically untouched landscape. Although the sea may be slightly cold during May, there is a very quaint harbour you can stroll along.

The departure from Pserimos will be at about 16:00 hrs, arriving in Kos harbour at about 17:30 hrs. and at 17:50 at your hotels.
