Important Note: You need to take your passport with you on this trip and ensure that if you have a visa it is valid for multiple entries to Greece.

First you will be picked up by bus from your hotel and taken to Kos harbour. There you will board the boat to Bodrum. The journey takes 45 to 50 min. to arrive at the city of Bodrum, on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Bodrum is located at the site of the ancient Greek city of Alicarnassos, birthplace of the historian Herodotus.

Today’s Bodrum is one of the most touristy places in Turkey and is famous for its open-air market. You will have free time to go shopping, visit the medieval castle which is very close to the port, or visit the Mausoleum.

The Mausoleum was considered to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and it was the grave of king Mausolos, the king of ancient Alicarnassos.

Upon arrival in Bodrum, you will have the option to take a bus tour of Bodrum which lasts about one and a half hours, taking in the Greek/Roman theatre and a gold jewelry centre (we do not recommend you opt for the bus tour, unless you are in the mood for some serious shopping!). After this you are free to take in the open-air market sights and do some shopping.
